We provide a fully detailed report produced on Xactimate® software that you can use to negotiate a more fair settlement with your insurance company. The electronic report will also include drawings, documents important to code upgrades, information on insurance codes, floor plans, photos and any other documentation necessary to establish the value of your loss.
Initially, we worked with United Policyholders to design a report that could be affordable and effective. Today, we continue to support their efforts. We have donated over $5,000 to their cause to date to their mission to educate people after disasters.
We use up-to-date, local material and labor costs for your specific area in California. It is normal that after a disaster, strong inflationary pressures force prices up on materials and labor. For example, in Santa Rosa, between January and May of 2018, material costs rose 32% due to supply and demand caused by the October 2017 North Bay fires.
We often see insurance company estimates that do not account for demand surge pricing or code upgrade expenses. We create a report to more accurately reflect those and all your expected rebuild costs.
As we are paid a flat fee. We are nice. Our only goal is producing such an accurate report, your insurance company is forced to pay up! That protects a claimant from fraud allegations and gives them a better chance of a fair settlement.
Our reports are compiled by a California licensed contractor who is currently building homes. Because we utilize Xactimate® software, a format insurance companies can understand, we are up to date on building code upgrades and are currently building, it is difficult for an insurance company to come up with any good reasons for why they can't accept our numbers.

The cost of our report will vary depending on the project. Prices begin at $1,500 up to as much as $8,000 for complex builds. Factors such as size, complexity of the home and the type of data and specifications available for the home all go into the estimate. We can provide "Code Upgrade" only reports, partial reconstruction reports and full loss reports. We will give you a price quote before signing any contracts. We charge a flat fee, not a percentage of your insurance claim amount or rebuild estimate. We begin work upon receipt of signed contract and deposit and we can usually have the estimate completed within 4 weeks.
